Souvenirs All of the Souvenirs have been sold. The moment that you have all been waiting for has arrived. We are releasing details of the range of souvenir items that will be available at the show. These items can either be purchased at the show, or pre-ordered prior to the show. All of the items are limited quantities, and with the exception of the unserviced Show Covers and Stamp Replica Cards, ALL items will be numbered. Items bearing numbers 1 and 75 will not be available for sale. They are being held for auction at the Palmares dinner on 16 June 2007. If you are mail-ordering and request a specific number, please also show a number of alternatives in case the initial number is no longer available. Orders will be filled in chronological order of receipt, but will not be mailed out until after the show closes on 17th June 2007. At this stage we are unable to show pictures of the completed articles as many of them have not yet Covers will be overprinted with the show logo in colours that match those used in the website. All other overprinted products will be overprinted as illustrated at left. The covers are DL size (110 x 220 mm) and are peel and stick. Postage and handling on all orders will be $1.50 within Australia, and $2.50 to all other destinations. Registration within Australia using prepaid Registered Post envelopes is available at $3.00 for 5 items or less, or $4.10 for 6 or more items. Additional domestic insurance is available at $1.10 per $100.00 or part thereof. International registration is available for $10.00 using prepaid Registered Post International envelopes. Additional insurance is not available for international destinations. If additional insurance is required for international destinations, please make your own arrangements. All mail orders are to be accompanied by a cheque, Australian money order or bank draft in Australian dollars. These should be made payable to Philatelic Association of NSW Inc. Credit cards will be accepted. Your credit card details should be on a separate piece of paper, showing whether MasterCard or Visa; Card Number; Expiry Date; the name of the Credit Card Holder; and signature. Mail orders should be sent to Sydney Stamp Expo 2007 Souvenirs Postmarks Available at the Exhibition There will be six postmarks available at the show. As is the usual practice at 3-day stamp exhibitions, there will be a different postmark for each day. These postmarks show three stages of the building of the Sydney Harbour Bridge (SHB).
The postmark for 15 June is available in both green and black, that for 16 June in black only, and the postmark on 17 June is available in both red or black. Images of these postmarks will be added to the website as available. On 15 June there will be a postmark featuring the SHB which will primarily be used as a First Day of Issue postmark for the Stamp and Coin covers being released on that date. A new pictorial postmark for the SHB is being released on 15 June to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the bridge opening. The postmark will be available at the show and from the QVB Post Shop and Sydney GPO from that date onwards. As the show is being held at Royal Randwick Racecourse, a postmarker with a racing theme will be available at the show, and from 18 June 2007 through the Randwick Postshop. The postmark will record – Randwick NSW 2031. We will NOT be producing any souvenirs using the last of these two postmarks. All postmarks on the overprinted Stamp and Coin Covers will be in black. Bridgewalk Covers100 covers are being prepared. They have been carried on the Sydney Harbour Bridge on Sunday 18th March, overprinted with the exhibition logo and franked with 2 x 27c Harbour Bridge stamps, and cancelled on Monday 19th March using the Sydney Philatelic Bureau continual use pictorial postmarker, which features the Sydney Harbour Bridge. The covers also have a cachet detailing their carriage on the 18th. The price of these covers is $10.00 each. An error has occurred in the preparation of the cachet on these covers. Each cover will therefore contain an explanatory note, signed by the President of the Organising Committee, explaining the nature of the error. Overprinted Miniature Sheets On 15th June 2007 Australia Post will be issuing a miniature sheet containing two $1.95 International stamps.One stamp will be perforate, and the other will have three sides imperforate.The imperforate stamp is only valid for postage when intact in the miniature sheet.
We will be overprinting 500 of these sheets, 200 in gold and 300 in silver. The gold 200 are $10.00 each, and the silver 300 are $7.50 each. Prestige Booklet On 15th June 2007 Australia Post will be issuing a prestige booklet featuring the Sydney Harbour Bridge. We will be overprinting 75 of these booklets in gold, and they will sell for $50.00 each.
Two booklets from the Racing Legends series will be overprinted in gold, the George Moore/Johnny Tapp booklet and the Roy Higgins/Bob Ingham booklet.There will be 250 of each booklet.These booklets are priced at $15.00 each.
Show Covers 900 covers have been overprinted in the top left hand corned with the show logo, as illustrated below. These covers will feature a Sydney Harbour Bridge stamp, thus providing concordance with the postmarks.
In addition, 100 will be prepared with the Stamp and Coin Cover postmark on 15th June, cancelled in black. Overprinted show covers are available as a set of four for $20.00, a set of three for $15.00, or individually at $6.00 each. If you wish to do your own thing, unserviced show covers are available at $0.50 each. These covers are NOT numbered. Overprinted Stamp and Coin Covers (PNC)We have been informed that Stamp and Coin Covers have been offered on eBay prior to the opening of the Exhibition. We can assure you that any such covers did not become available through us. Our first Stamp and Coin Cover was not relased until about 10 pm on Saturday 16th June. On the opening day of the exhibition Australia Post will be issuing a Stamp and Coin cover with the coin featuring the Sydney Harbour Bridge. These covers are also known as PNC’s, or Postal Numismatic Covers. A special Opening Day postmarker will be used as the national cancel for these Covers. We will be overprinting 250 of these covers, which are available at $75.00 each. The overprinted covers are available cancelled in black only. There is a maximum of 10 Stamp and Coin covers per customer.
This replica card will be released in conjunction with the Exhibition, to mark the 50th Anniversary of Australian Antarctic Territory (AAT) stamps, and the featured stamp die will be the 1957 two shillings AAT stamp. The design will be in the usual format, involving offset printing of a pictorial image and some text on a card, plus the intaglio printing of the stamp die in a colour different to the issued stamp. There will be 2,000 cards printed in colour and a Black Print limited edition of 200 cards only. These cards will NOT be numbered. The coloured cards are available at $5.00 each, and the Black Print cards are $10.00 each
